The Does

Nubians and Nigerian Dwarfs

My mixed herd of Nubians and Nigis are happy ladies, foraging on my hillsides (fire mitigation!). People often ask me, but they all get along just fine! They are separated when with their respective bucks during October and November. Once kids are here, I milk 1x per day, starting once the kids are 3 or 4 weeks old. I separate at night, milk first thing in the morning, and let the kids back on the mamas for the rest of the day. Herd is tested annually for Johnes, CL, CAE (Most recent: September 2025). Goats get free-choice minerals daily, plus selenium paste every 6 weeks when I trim their feet. Wormed 2x/year. Up to date on all shots.

Lilly

Lilly, who might have the fanciest ADGA pedigree in my herd, is a granddaughter of TX TWINCREEKS RM WATERMARK, and came to me at two years old. She is now three years old in 2026, and this will be her second kidding. She had two perfect doelings last year, and had a beautiful, supple udder last spring . I’m very excited to see her 2nd freshen udder in March! She was ultra sounded for two kids, but she’s huge, so we’ll see! Bred to my incredible polled buck, Forrest.

Maybelline Has A Very. Bad. Day.

DOLAN FINCA LILLY'S TWILIGHT, otherwise known as Twilight, or for the Maybelline book series fans, this is the goat that plays Maybelline! She is a very gorgeous goat, and super friendly, but was very naughty at the goat show last spring! She has great lineage, so I have great expectations for her this year as a FF. Ultrasounded for two kids, she was bred to Be’nder.

Token

In the Maybelline book series , Token is Maybelline’s cousin! She is a very striking goat, and super friendly, she went to the goat show last spring, and has gone to three different school visits, where she is the start of the show! She has the most friendly disposition! She is also a Forrest doeling, and I can’t wait to see her udder this year as a FF. Ultrasounded for two kids, she was bred to Be’nder.

Tapestry

Tapestry is a second generation goat born on my farm, about to have my third generation of breeding! She is a very strikingly colored goat, with a mohawk hairdo! When she was a kid, we called her Mowhawk Girl for a while!) She Coffee’s granddaughter, and we have been improving that udder every year. So I can’t wait to see her udder this year as a FF. Ultrasounded for two+ kids, she was bred to Be’nder.

Cookie

Cookie comes rom a friend’s doe who used my young buck last year and is also a great-granddaughter to Coffee! She is also striking with her black knee-highs! She will help, like Token, to add in some black and white goats to my farm! She’s a very sturdily built gal, so it will be fun to shave her and see what she looks like under that fuzzy coat (Her daddy threw all really fuzzy babies!) Bred to Simon, she had two polled kids!

Dolan Finca Renegade

Renegade is three years old and this was her third freshening (in March 2025). She had triplets this year, two bucklings and a doeling. She milks 6 lbs/1x day and has a beautiful udder. Goldthwaite and Six M Galaxy genetics, so the great milk output was expected but still nice to see! Easy teats and orifices for quick milking. Gentle and sweet personality, which is a huge deal!

Dry Yearlings

Tiger Lily and Trudie are my two dry yearling Nubians. They will be shown at the REDGA goat show in May, and bred next fall.

Tiger LIly is Renegade’s girl from last season. She took one 1st place and two 2nd place at the REDGA show last year. I have high hopes for her this year! https://genetics.adga.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N002435198

Trudie did well at the show last year, and has grown into a beautiful young doe. It will be fun to see what the judges think about these two flashy girls. https://genetics.adga.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N002440436

Dolan Finca Sweet Ivy - Retired

Ivy is ADGA registered on appearance, and is 3/4 Nubian. (One local vet said, “She’s a perfect specimen of a Nubian!” I replied, “But she’s not….” :) She’s the herd queen and takes her job seriously.
